Amy S. Thurmond, M.D.

Amy S. Thurmond, M.D., joined EPIC Imaging as a diagnostic radiologist with the west side center's opening in July of 2000. Since graduating from UCLA Medical School in 1982, Dr. Thurmond has completed an internship in surgery at Oregon Health Sciences University, a fellowship in cardiology at St. Vincent Medical Center in Portland, Oregon, and both a residency in radiology and a fellowship in interventional radiology/research at OHSU.

Dr. Thurmond's professional accomplishments include international recognition for her research and continuing work in women's health and reproductive issues. She has had numerous publications, editorials and awards. She regularly presents her research at scientific meetings and enjoys lecturing and teaching. She has been awarded multiple research grants to date and maintains current committee assignments including:

    Society for the Advancement of Women's Imaging, Current

    Legacy Meridian Park Hospital, Credentialing Committee
    Legacy Breast Clinic Steering Committee

Current professional memberships include the American Fertility Society, Oregon Medical Association, the Radiological Society of North America, the Society of Uroradiology, the American College of Radiology, and the Society for Cardiovascular and Interventional Radiology.

Dr. Thurmond is a regular volunteer in the schools her four children attend and is active in 4-H and sports.
